Melbourne and Cairns trip 2009 Day 5

這一天要坐早上9時多的機到Cairns, 又是天未光便要起床了。Melbourne的airport bus真是很方便

, 早一天預訂更有shuttle bus到酒店接我們到southern cross station 去轉乘大巴。

飛了大槪2個半小時多, 便到了Cairns。本來我對Cairns這個小機場毫無印象, 但一經過往取行李的通道, 那個憤怒的記憶又回來。

由機場去Cairns city很近, 我們坐小巴到酒店只是20分鐘而已(車資是AUD$7.5 per person)。一步出機場, 便深深感受到Cairns陽光有多好, 天氣有多熱。

今次訂的酒店位置是好得沒話說 ( 坐落esplanada, night market在旁, lagoon (public swimming pool)對面 ), 但服務就真是叫人很失望

。

我也不想在此再長篇大論再數一次, 總括來說可見以下我在訂房網留下的user comment:
"Except for its excellent location, nothing in this hotel can be appreciated. The most unacceptable is we were told that there was no housekeeping service!! We have to pay AUD21 per day for housekeeping!! It claimed its apartment like nature but how can a apartment room does not even have a proper place to boil water?? the most obvious socket we could find was within the wardrobe!!! the hotel is old, something wrong with the TV, refrigerator and the toilet bowl. The double bed room was in fact putting two single beds together, absolutely not comfortable. Lastly, the checkout time is 10am and no extension was allowed, absolutely bring no convenience to the guests. "
Settle down 後, 我們便出外吃午飯。Cairns有很多日本人, 日本餐廳也很多, 我們找了一個日食小店, 坐在户外路旁吃了一個只AUD5.5的滑旦豬扒飯, 味道不錯。這裡雖然陽光猛烈, 但一有遮蔭的地方就很涼快, 根本不需要冷氣, 加上這裡空氣很好, 很多人寧願坐在户外用餐。吃過午餐後便到Cairns City Centre 走走, 其實也沒多大地方, 走走看看便回酒店再去對面的Lagoon 游泳。這個Lagoon雖然是個公共泳池, 但一點也不輸蝕。泳池一邊是人造沙灘, 沙灘旁有草地可供曬太陽, 更有BBQ爐!!直頭可以在這裡開pool side party!!
是日晚餐再試試我喉嚨的抗炸能力, 再來一個平價版seafood platter。
